Doepfer Musikelektronik GmbH is based in Gräfelfing, Germany, and was founded by Dieter Döpfer. Since the 1980s they have produced analog modular systems, MIDI controllers, hardware MIDI sequencers and MIDI-to-CV/Gate/Synch interfaces. Doepfer's newest semi-modular synth, the Dark Energy, a monophonic stand-alone synthesizer with USB and Midi interface, is a Robotspeak favorite.
