Samposium is a brand new music sampler app that just launched for iPad and iPhone. It was created by ROBOTSPEAk’s web guy, Joshua Totemwongse, a local synth artist and software engineer. Samposium packs an incredible punch for the price. Not only is Samposium a great addition to any synth musician’s toolbox, it doesn’t require a subscription. From long-form vocals to field recordings captured around San Francisco, Samposium will give you intuitive flexibility to bend, shape, twist and sculpt samples using multi-touch gestures.
Built for real-time audio manipulation and performance, Samposium’s robust features include: sample pads with customizable FX chains, different playing behaviors, interactive waveforms, a 3-band parametric EQ, tuner and more. Its 64-step sequencer has capabilities to sequence up to 512 steps. By sequencing one or multiple sample pads, Samposium’s breadth gives users the capacity to create beautifully layered ambient textures or descend into destructive chaotic noise.
Now available in the App Store for $14.99 which includes iPad and iPhone versions and a beta release for AUv3.
